About the event

EWA is proud to present a series of workshops designed to empower individuals living with persistent pain, particularly those affected by endometriosis. Our workshops focus on three key areas essential to understanding and managing pain: mastering daily strategies, understanding body and mind responses, and crafting a personalised pain management plan. Each session is crafted to give participants the knowledge, tools, and confidence needed to take control of their pain and improve their quality of life. Mastering Persistent Pain: Strategies for Daily Living

This comprehensive workshop is designed to help participants understand chronic pain better and introduce effective strategies for managing it. Attendees will learn how to create personalized routines and weekly plans incorporating graded activities, building resilience and enhancing daily functioning. The workshop also focuses on developing cognitive and practical skills to navigate the challenges of daily life with persistent pain. By the end of the session, participants will feel more equipped to manage their symptoms and enhance their overall well-being.

Body and Mind Responses to Pain

In this workshop, participants will explore the complex relationship between the body and mind in response to pain. The session will cover the body's natural threat responses—flight, fight, or freeze—and how these reactions influence pain perception. Participants will also learn to recognise different types of stress, understand their effects, and develop strategies to manage them effectively. Additionally, the workshop will delve into the interaction between mood and pain, offering tools to help participants better understand and navigate these interconnected experiences.
