Endo Warriors Aotearoa is a charitable organisation that aims to raise awareness and provide education about endometriosis and menstruation. Our goal is to improve the support and medical care available for those affected by endometriosis (endo) and to combat period poverty in our community. We provide free period products to those in need and offer period education in schools. We support individuals of all genders who have endometriosis or menstruate, and our dedicated team is committed to advocating for a better future for those affected by these issues. We empower individuals, their workplaces, and their whānau by providing menstrual health & endometriosis (endo) resources and education. Through donations (both physical and financial), we source items for our surgery care boxes and provide support and resources for individuals and whānau. We also are a voice for the endometriosis community. We advocate for better endometriosis medical care and support from the medical system. Donations to us go directly to our local community partners and individuals in need.

Our Mission Statement

Endo Warriors Aotearoa is a registered charity working to improve understanding, support and equity for those affected by endometriosis, difficult periods and barriers to menstrual health.

Our mission is to provide inclusive, evidence-informed education, practical support, advocacy and resources that help people better understand their health, recognise when symptoms may not be normal, access appropriate care, and feel confident speaking up for their needs.

We support those living with endometriosis, those seeking answers, and the whānau, friends, schools, workplaces and communities walking alongside them.

A key part of our mahi is challenging the myth that endometriosis is simply a period illness. Endometriosis is a chronic, whole-body condition that can affect pain, energy, mental wellbeing, education, employment, relationships and everyday life.

We are also committed to improving menstrual equity. We work to reduce barriers to period products, education and support by providing free menstrual health education, reusable period products where funding allows, practical resources and community-based initiatives.

Through our education programmes, one-to-one support, workshops, advocacy, resources and community connections, we aim to:

• reduce stigma and shame around periods, pain and endometriosis
• support earlier recognition of symptoms and help-seeking
• improve access to trusted information, healthcare and practical support
• strengthen body literacy, self-advocacy and informed decision-making
• support schools, kura, workplaces and communities to respond with understanding and compassion
• improve access to period products and reduce the impact of period poverty
• amplify lived experience and advocate for meaningful change across Aotearoa

Our work is grounded in manaakitanga, inclusion, equity and lived experience.

We believe everyone deserves to be informed, supported and believed. No one should have to navigate endometriosis, severe period symptoms or menstrual hardship alone.

Our vision is an Aotearoa where endometriosis is better understood, symptoms are taken seriously, menstrual health education is accessible, period products are available with dignity, and everyone has the support and resources they need to live well.

Our Values

Learning & Openness

We create space for curiosity, reflection and honest kōrero.

We are committed to continuing to learn, strengthening our knowledge and improving the way we work. When we make mistakes, we acknowledge them with humility, take responsibility and use them as opportunities to grow.

Boldness

We are courageous, creative and willing to challenge systems that are not working.

We speak up about endometriosis, menstrual inequity, stigma and gaps in care, and we are not afraid to push for meaningful and lasting change.

Resilience

We recognise the strength that can come from lived experience, community and collective care.

We support one another through difficult times, share knowledge and hope, and celebrate progress, whether it is big or small.

Heart

Our mahi is grounded in care, compassion and purpose.

We are driven by a deep commitment to creating a fairer and more supportive Aotearoa. We believe hope, kindness and joy all have an important place in creating change.

Respect

We value the dignity, worth and lived experience of every person.

We aim to create spaces where people feel safe, heard, believed and included. We treat others with kindness and compassion, even when conversations are difficult.

Community & Teamwork

We believe lasting change happens when people work together.

Through collaboration, open communication, shared learning and strong relationships, we can create better outcomes than we could achieve alone.

Our mahi is strengthened by those with lived experience, whānau, volunteers, schools, workplaces, health professionals, funders, partners and communities across Aotearoa.

Our Vision

Our vision is an Aotearoa where those with endometriosis are believed, supported and able to access timely, equitable and compassionate care.

We want menstrual health education to be inclusive, accurate and accessible, period products to be available with dignity, and no one to feel alone because of pain, difficult periods, endometriosis or financial barriers.

We are working towards a future where endometriosis is understood as a chronic, whole-body condition, symptoms are taken seriously earlier, and people feel informed and empowered to advocate for their health and wellbeing.

Equity & Inclusion

We recognise that access to healthcare, period products, education and support is not equal.

We are committed to reducing barriers and creating inclusive services that respond to diverse cultures, identities, bodies, experiences and needs.

Our work includes and supports Māori, Pacific peoples, rainbow communities, disabled people, migrant and refugee communities, and those experiencing financial hardship.

For the website, I would probably use seven values:

Learning & Openness
Boldness
Resilience
Heart
Respect
Community & Teamwork
Equity & Inclusion

Our Goals

Endo Warriors Aotearoa is committed to:

Raising awareness and improving education

Providing inclusive, evidence-informed education about menstruation, pain, endometriosis, PMS, PMDD and menstrual health through schools, kura, workplaces, whānau, community groups and public resources.

We aim to challenge stigma, improve body literacy and help people recognise when symptoms may not be normal.

Advocating for better healthcare

Advocating for a more equitable, accessible and responsive health system for those with endometriosis.

We want shorter diagnostic delays, improved access to specialist care, better treatment options, increased research and greater recognition of the wide-ranging impacts of endometriosis.

Supporting those with endometriosis

Providing practical, compassionate and lived-experience-led support to those diagnosed with endometriosis, those seeking answers, and the whānau and support people walking alongside them.

We aim to ensure people feel informed, supported, believed and confident advocating for their needs.

Improving menstrual equity

Reducing barriers to period products, information and support by providing free single-use and reusable period products where funding allows.

We work to ensure cost does not prevent anyone from managing menstruation safely and with dignity.

Supporting rainbow and gender-diverse communities

Providing inclusive menstrual health education and access to period products that recognise the experiences and needs of transgender, non-binary, intersex and gender-diverse people who menstruate.

We aim to reduce stigma and support people who experience gender dysphoria related to menstruation by improving access to suitable, affirming period products and information.

Supporting schools, workplaces and communities

Helping schools, kura, workplaces and community organisations build more informed, inclusive and supportive environments for those experiencing periods, persistent pain and endometriosis.

Growing our reach across Aotearoa

Expanding our education, support, resources and period equity mahi beyond Wellington and surrounding areas.

Our long-term goal is to make programmes such as Periods, Pain & Real Talk available to more communities across Aotearoa.

Amplifying lived experience

Creating opportunities for those affected by endometriosis to share their experiences, influence change and help shape education, services, advocacy and public understanding.

Building sustainable change

Working alongside funders, partners, health professionals, schools, communities and government to create long-term, meaningful improvements in menstrual health education, endometriosis support and access to care.
