Part 3 of 10 workshops on pain management
Workshop 3: "Body and Mind Responses to Pain" Dive into the threat response to pain, exploring the flight, fright, and freeze reactions of our bodies with "He tauhohe ahoeta." Uncover effective ways to respond to stress, recognize its types, and understand the interaction between mood and pain with "Whakaaroa, rongo, mahi." This workshop comprehensively examines how our bodies and minds react to pain.
Learning objectives:
· Threat response to pain - flight/fright/freeze - understanding how our bodies react (He tauhohe ahoeta - te whakautu ki te mamae - te whakapau kaha/te whakamā/te whakakētanga - te māramatanga i ngā whakautu o tō tātou tinana)
· How to respond to stress - recognizing different types of stress and their effects (Me pēhea te whakautu ki te whakararuraru - ngā momo whakararuraru pai me ngā whakararuraru kino me ō rātou āhua)
· Think, feel, do - exploring the interaction between mood and pain (Whakaaroa, rongo, mahi - te whakarapopototanga i te whakawhitiwhiti ake o te hinengaro me te mamae)
